Fall Craft

Because everyone has so much time, here is a project I found on one of the many decorating blogs I follow(or should I say stalk?) It was so easy. My friend and I completed it in under an hour. The only things you need are pumpkins, number stencils, paint and glitter.
1. Tape down the stencil
2. Use Folk Art (Metallic Silver Sterling) paint. Tap into stencil.
3. Peel off stencil and immediately shake the glitter on the number(Martha Stewart glow in the dark glitter) The only place I found it was Michaels Craft Store
4. Let dry and spray a coat of clear coat to prevent the dew and rain from ruining it.
IT WAS VERY EASY!!!!!

Family Game Night

It was family game night at our house- with a NEW twist- actual trophies were awarded. We played Pokemon Monopoly. Our goals were to #1 make it through the game #2 to have fun and # 3 to have no tears. We accomplished all 3! Mr Moneybags(Gabe) won 1st place, Kevin 2nd place(and obviously not the sportsmanship), Ben won 3rd place and the sportsmanship trophy. He was so good throughout the game about giving us high fives and encouragement. And then there is me. I had no money because I bought everything, and then lost my properties to the children. STORY OF MY LIFE!!! We had fun. Next time I get to choose the game and little do they know, I am choosing Nerdy Wordy-
I HAVE to win that 1st place trophy

Fun Festival

The Preschool Gabe attends had a fun festival today. The weather was perfect and we had a lot of fun. The boys enjoyed the fire truck and had fun running around with friends on the playground. They also won great prizes like airplanes, sharks, whistles, and even got tattoos(Gabe only we STILL haven't convinced Ben they are cool!)

IN DADS CARE!

This is what my children look like after being with Dad 24 hours. When you have a Dad that takes you on adventures, makes everything fun and shows you how much fun he has being with you by letting you play and run around(more than the 25 feet Mom allows) you get some great Kahl Boy time BUT you tend to get worn out. I thank God every day for Kevin because he is so involved in Ben and Gabe's life and he IS that FUN parent. God knew what he was doing when he put Kevin and I together!!

Gabe's Turn!!!!!

Does this look familiar?? This is now GABE after spending the weekend with Daddy. They tailgated, went to the game and took Gramps to breakfast for his birthday. (All in 24 hours) Ben stayed home with Mom this time- but don't feel sorry for him he got to have a friend sleep over.
They made pizza, played Bakugan, and had root beer floats. When is football season over??? We are ALL off to see the Panthers play the first weekend in October.

Friday Fun

We had fun on Friday night cooking out and roasting marshmallows with our friends. It was great to have more space to do that now that the patio is complete

Who says I am Tired????

This is what Ben looks like after a whirlwind weekend in Iowa. I think this picture says it all.
Dad and I woke up at 6AM on Saturday, drove 7 hours, tailgated, watched a football game, met with friends for pizza drove 3 hours to Gramps' house to sleep, woke up, drove 4 hours home!!!!!

University of Northern Iowa Football Game

Kevin and Ben
BOYS ONLY weekend!
Kevin and Ben just returned from Iowa. They had a great time at the Panthers game. Ben could not stop talking about hanging out with Christopher, Andrew and Megan. I looked at the picture of Ben and Megan watching the game and could not help but thinking 10 years down the road when they are both students at UNI!!!!!! Mom and Gabe have no pictures to prove it -but we had a great weekend back home.

PANTHER GAME

Tailgating before the game.

Back to School

Gabe went back to school today. He was very happy to be back. He did not want us to go in with him(of course we did!) There was barely a kiss and he ran out the back door to the playground. What a big boy!!!!
