Pool Love
The boys have been enjoying the pool. They have been swimming 12 hours a day. As you can see Ben actually fell asleep IN his raft yesterday. Ben and Gabe have been making up new games, swimming laps (Ben is at 37 Gabe at 24 and I am at 1-with a kickboard-complaining all the way- with a leg cramp.) but the best thing they are doing is enjoying each other and the summer!

POOL IS DONE!!!!
I can not believe that the pool is done! We started the whole project on May 28th. The pool was complete on June 17th- which by the way, that time frame includes replacing our entire septic system. They came on Friday and installed the slide, basketball hoop, and automatic cover. They were still here when our friends arrived for dinner. Everyone swam until dark.
Since today is fathers day, I feel it is appropriate to have the first picture of the pool be of Kevin. After the slide was installed, they asked for someone to "test" it. Kevin ran-oh yes he did- to the top and went down in his clothes. So today we say thank you to the best dad and husband!!! For giving us our pool and so much more. We love you!!!!!!!!

Pool Update
Electric done. Salt in, pump and rest of the system working. Ben and Gabe assumed their positions at Ben's bedroom window to watch the progress. This weekend we watched the water turn from mucky Poltergeist looking pool, to salty foam, to crystal clear. Only a small problem. It is very easy to explain to 2 excited boys why they can't swim in dirty water but it is much more difficult to tell them no when it is 9 million degrees outside and they are staring at clear water. Sunday afternoon, we finally caved and let them swim "illegally" for 30 minutes.
This weeks plans....to survive
I am pretty certain I have strep throat, just need test Monday
Kevin has an extremely busy week, which means he will not be able to make split decisions about the pool.
They plan on finishing this week- cement, sprinkler system, pool shed built on site, sod, fence, automatic cover,, slide, basketball hoop, inspection.
SERIOUSLY!!!??????
My Plan- Find the perfect position on the couch where I can see the backyard, but not hear it.
Get medication- all sorts to help me feel better.
Get a GIANT ice filled Sprite from the BP and place it beside me
Place phone, bell (to call the boys), and remote close by.
Pray for the best

Summer Vacation
Today was the first day of summer vacation. By 9 AM I was threatening to send them to summer school, at noon they were "bored" At 12:01 they were miraculously busy when I told them I had plenty for them to do. The rest of the day went smoothly (because they were both at friends houses) At 7PM we pulled into the parking lot at the baseball field- and sunk in mud up to the hood-I honestly did not see the mud. At 8:45 the tow truck finally pulled in to rescue Ben and I. How many more days until school begins?
